I love beer and its been a great and long relationship specifically with craft beers and foreign brews. I do tend on varying my tastes as the seasons change. I guess this may also be the result of clever marketing for beer manufacturers as I tend to by the seasonal favorites. However, I tend to venture to the brews of other countries so I would like to share my experience on these fantastic brews of the world and to inspire other to try new beers.
I would have to say upfront that my all time favorite beer is the mighty Guinness of Ireland. In most situations I will chose a Guinness on tap over any other beer at the beer. There is something about its stout like flavor and richness that I find filling and warm. Although some may claim that is tastes like coffee and beer mixed together, Guinness does have a unique taste that separates it from the crowd.
Be advised Guinness is an expensive beer, more costly than other imported beer. You can expect to pay about $5.00 for a glass of Guinness on tap in most bars here in the midwest. Even in the supermarket, Guinness will fetch a substantially higher price than all other beers. But give it a try if you haven't, as it is well worth the price.
